The Sexual Attitude Restructuring/Reassessment program (SAR)

The Sexual Attitude Restructuring/Reassessment program (SAR) is a cutting edge intense learning event designed for people who wish to better understand their own sexuality and that of others. It is a program dedicated to fulfilling the need for advanced training in human sexuality. Didactic and experiential, SAR offers each person the information and experience necessary for more competent, sensitive, professional and personal functioning.

Over the years, more than 2,500 persons have experienced the Sexual Attitude Restructuring program. Among those who have found SAR of great value both personally and professionally are physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, sexologists, therapists, counselors, teachers, college professors, nurses, clergy, researchers, social workers, health educators, persons working in family planning centers, and paraprofessionals and students in all of the above areas. This training is also for people who wish to expand their own possibilities around sex in their own lives.

The Sexual Attitude Restructuring program will present information on a broad range of sexual topics through small and large group discussions, visual media and exercises and the process of self reflection. This training is non- hands on.

Facilitator:  Dr. Liam “captain” Snowdon

Dr. Liam “captain” Snowdon is a Sexologist, Counsellor and Somatic Sex Educator/ Bodyworker in practice in Victoria, BC and Portland Oregon. He specializes in working with folks around gender, sex and sexuality. He facilitates workshops in schools, parents groups, universities, community organizations, on many topics including embodying our desires, supporting gender variant youth in schools, personal sexual enrichment, sexual anatomy for pleasure and alternative relationships. Captain runs SPARC the Sex Positive Art and Resource Center in Victoria, is on the faculty for The Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and The Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment. He is a performance poet and avid sidewalk chalker.

Assistant Facilitator: Elfi “Emaya” Dillon-Shaw  DipC RMT

Emaya Elfi Dillon Shaw has been a bodyworker and teacher of conscious touching for thirty years. She wants to co-create a world of erotic enthusiasm combined with kindness in relationships and sexual-spiritual knowing.She joined the faculty of the Body Electric School in 2000 and is a member of the Haven Institute faculty.  Her private practice ranges from experiential anatomy classes to therapeutic massage, from meditation to workshops on conscious sexuality, as well as “Whole Person Sexual Health Education for individuals and partnered people. She lives and teaches with her partner Gary Dillon on Gabriola Island in British Columbia, Canada.
